About Shodai Isshin

Born in a refugee camp following the end of the Vietnam War, Shodai Isshin was raised in Hawaii and upon graduation, left home to explore the world and himself. He moved to Japan for a decade and lived other years in countries in North America and Europe. His time in all these nations have taught and greatly shaped his life.

Professionally, Isshin retired after a full career in the technology field. He worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies in addition to a fulfilling career in Federal Service, serving the highest of Agencies and Departments in the US Government. He now enjoys mentoring young men and women through non-profit organizations.

He currently lives with his wife, son and dog, splitting time between Hawaii, Tokyo, and the Washington, DC area.
